I was born and brought up in India. While growing up in the city of New Delhi I decided to pursue design and completed Interior Architecture from India's top program at CEPT University in Ahmadabad. As my key interest lies in technology and design I drew along the lines which brought the two together appropriately in a cultural context. I traveled throughout India documenting handicrafts and skills in the rural and tribal parts of the country as attempt to appreciate and understand them.

With a surge in digital technologies, as an Interior Architect and an M.F.A student at RISD's Digital+Media program, I am concerned with how the digital media influences the notion of physical space. While the notion of digital space is still caught in the realm of virtuality, many act-react and physically triggered digital systems are beginning to make an impact on the line between real and virtual. With these diminishing boundaries it becomes important to re-investigate the relevance of these systems and there impact on social, cultural and more importantly the traditional values associated with a space within which we live. More than the concept of dematerialization of spaces, it is the loss of cultural and regional aesthetics embedded in design of a space that is problematic.
